Umpires

Currambine Netball Club Umpires

Umpires have an important role to play in our game and we are proud of the support and mentoring programme at Currambine Netball Club for all our umpires from Junior through to adults.

Support for our umpire squad is provided through initial training with us and/or through the JNA Green Shirt programme, mentoring at weekly games, online development sessions and seasonal skill sessions.

We understand that being an Umpire can be daunting which is why CNC ensures support and mentoring are always available to our umpires.  As a result they can safely develop kinship and friendships outside of teams with other umpires, they can grow and develop more than just the ability to officiate the rules of the game.

Our umpires are:

  1. Connected: they make friends for life both inside and outside our club and association.  They become an integral part of the vibrant netball community in WA.
  2. Respected: our umpires are trained to provide the opportunity for everyone to play the game in a safe, fair and enjoyable environment.
  3. Skilled:  with ongoing support, training and mentoring, our umpires develop life skills in communication, resilience and leadership.
  4. Inspired: our umpires experience the thrill of the game from a different perspective.  They have a pathway to participate in the sport at the highest level.
